The set is comprised … Read more An exceptional French silver and vermeil/gold wash tea service created by Henri Soufflet, late 19th Century. The set is comprised of twelve tea spoons, strainer, and tongs which are all monogrammed with the letters "BC" in script. Presented in the original box which also has been monogrammed on the top with the initials "BC" Each piece features shell motifs with interlacing leaves and the lovely script monogram.

Ideal for collectors or as a wedding/anniversary gift.

French, Circa 1895, marked for .950 silver as denoted by the Minerve 1st. titre mark and the maker's mark for Soufflet, Paris.

Condition report; very good, gilt very good, normal surface scratches and surface marks in accordance with age and use. Some wear to presentation box both inside and out.

Spoons measure: 5" long, tea straIner is 5 3/4" long and 2 1/2" wide, tongs are 4 7/8" long,
box is 15 1/2 X 9 1/2 and is 2 1/2" high
