Dutch-born artist Anthony de Brie (Bree) was known in England for his fine equestrian and pastoral paintings, in addition to commissioned portraits of the gentry and nobility. His works can be seen in The Museum of London, The National Portrait Gallery London, Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery, and the Temple Newsam - Leeds Museums and Galleries.
