measures 36" hight x 48" wide, was created on linen, stretched onto sturdy bars, the sides are painted and this piece is ready for hanging in your home.
Subjects in this still life - whiskey and vodka bottles, pumpkin, bowls, pitcher, cow tongue, cloth, cow skull, gravy boat, coffee mug, oak leaves, old map of Smithfields from Wikipedia, candle....
This piece has lots of Easter Eggs relating to Smithfields, London. It is an area with a long history, going back to the Middle Ages, the rebel William Wallace was executed there (represented here by Mel Gibson from the movie Braveheart), moving forward it was a place for farmers to bring their livestock to be butchered for the London markets, and then became a major meat processing area up to the present day. My brother in law named his meat-centric restaurant Smithfields after this place. This is a Vanitas piece. Vanitas is a type of painting originating in Europe the baroque period, they are still life paintings that include reminders that life is short, you will die, so think about how you are living. For this series the twist is - Life is short, (especially for the animals who you get your food from!) so make sure your meat is as tasty and ethical as possible.
This series is titled Meet Your Meat: Vanitas for Smithfields. The pieces were created to be shown and sold out of a great restaurant in Ashland, OR called Smithfileds. www.smithfieldsashland.com.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
