This scarf alone holds an incredible story.n the 1960s, Fritz Schlumpf became friends with Robert Dumas, the head of Hermès.
Together, in 1970, they decided to create a silk scarf dedicated to the Schlumpf Museum, which was then being renovated. The design was entrusted to the painter Philippe Ledoux, one of the house of Hermès's regular designers, who depicted Fritz Schlumpf, Arlette, and his daughter alongside cars from the beginning of the century. The scarves were printed by the Ateliers Arnaud et Sauvy in Pierre Bénite in March 1971, and came in 11 different color versions. More than a thousand pieces were produced. This Hermes scarf was reserved entirely for Fritz Schlumpf, who wanted to offer his scarves as a souvenir gift to guests at the opening of his Museum.
These scarves are unique and steeped in history. This one never took place, and the scarves remain in the family until today.
