Low tripod stool designed by Hans Bellmann in the 1950s for the Swiss manufacturer Horgen Glarus.
Made of molded birch plywood, this understated, stackable model is part of the functionalist tradition of post-war Swiss design. The curved L-shaped base and round seat reflect the influence of Scandinavian furniture, particularly that of Alvar Aalto, while affirming an aesthetic characteristic of Bellmann's structural language: clear forms, economy of materials, and rational use of technology.
Manufactured by Horgen Glarus, circa 1950, distributed by Wohnbedarf. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
