This kokeshi is a significant design by Watanabe Masao, one of the most influential kokeshi artists of the 20th century.
Dimensions: Height 20 cm, diameter 7 cm.
The base is hand-signed and bears Watanabe’s distinctive red name seal (hanko). The body is beautifully crafted from textured wood, featuring a prominent and expressive grain pattern.
In good vintage condition, with an attractive and even patina. This piece has an attribution mark,
