Bring a beautiful piece of mid-century Americana into your home with this large, hand-painted, and stenciled metal toleware serving tray. Meticulously crafted in 1969 by artist S. Callnin, this statement piece replicates a historical circa 1810 stencil design titled "The Thunderstorm." The tray features a highly detailed, golden pastoral scene depicting figures, animals, and a traditional village scape set against a rich, dark background. The rim is framed with an elegant, alternating pattern of stenciled flowers and geometric borders.
Measuring approximately 20 inches, this impressive large-format tray carries incredible visual weight. It is perfect for use as a distinctive bar cart accent, styled on an ottoman, or fitted with a plate hanger to serve as a striking piece of folk art wall decor. It seamlessly complements Traditional, Colonial Revival, Americana, and Chinoiserie interior design styles.
