This is a painting created around 1600 by Francesco Caldei, known as Francesco Mantovano.
The oil on canvas painting depicts a chiseled metal vase filled with colorful flowers against a dark background, painted with soft, creamy brushstrokes.
The back features two sealing wax seals: one on the stretcher and one on the frame, depicting a quartered coat of arms surmounted by a ducal crown with two symmetrical roosters on either side. Unfortunately, these seals are currently unidentified, but they nonetheless certify an illustrious and important provenance.
The frame is contemporary with the work, in carved gilded wood.
The painting is accompanied by an authentication issued by a renowned art historian. This piece has an attribution mark,
