Linear and clean … Read more Exciting Italian style for this group of four chairs designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina. Linear and clean design, but at the same time amazing for the combination of materials used.

The chairs are made of beech black wood and have a very simple structure, a double trestle, can be seen from the photos. The seat covered in a geometric fabric was positioned above the wooden structure, and the backrest was also covered in a geometric fabric; both designed and made very thin like two rose petals, to comfortably accommodate the person sitting, but at the same time rigid and resistant to torsion. Special screws specifically designed by the designers were used to anchor the seat and backrest to the wooden structure. The 121 model is a chair born as a dining chair combined with the 778 extendable table, a chair which however is also suitable for a meeting room table. See less
