I think it is made is an example lamp to show the customers how halogen works on a rail (two steel wires). But that is just a thought of my. Nevertheless this is a very striking lamp which has stand the test of time. The transformer is, unlike later versions, integrated in the plug. The spotlight is an early version of the halogen lamps.
