A lovely antique English sterling silver and celluloid trowel, awarded by the architects of Northop Hall Church to a Mrs. Watkinson, probably a benefactor or someone who helped raise a significant amount of money for building the church in 1910, with a beautiful engraving of the church itself on the front.
In excellent condition. The sterling has some light surface scratches but no dents or damage/old repairs. The handle is free of cracks or damage. The piece is fully hallmarked for sterling silver assayed in Sheffield, England in 1910. This piece would make a beautiful desert server!
Trowel measures approximately 8.5” in length by 3.5" wide at the widest point.
