This handsome piece is a French Louis Philippe Display Cabinet, or Buffet Deux Corps dating from the mid 1800's. This bookcase is constructed from French oak with walnut veneer, and features elegant burlwood veneer. Open the upper pair of original wavy glass doors to access adjustable shelves, and ample storage or display space. Below a pair of cabinet doors open to reveal additional storage for all of your belongings. Both the upper and lower doors feature original antique locks, still operable with a set of skeleton keys which are included.
This is a statement-making piece, whose handsome details and clean lines would be well-suited to both contemporary and traditional spaces. With its grand scale (60"w x 100"h) you could use this as a display cabinet, buffet or a bookcase in a study, living or dining area.
