The flame figured center oval is framed in a carefully mitered cross banded panel of birchwood veneers and Casuarina wood banding around the edges. The flame satinwood or birch veneer flows in uninterrupted continuity on the front, corners and sides. The slender tapered finely reeded legs have ringed terminals and end in bulbous feet.
