A rare set of 6 dining chairs, model 62 designed by Alvar Aalto. These are first editions made and produced by FinSven in the early 1930s. Coming up on 100 years old these chairs stand the test of time, and are still relevant to designers and collectors. The legs of the chairs consisting of Aalto’s patented design which bends a laminated leg and transitions to spliced in solid birch legs. Beautiful patina to the birch, embraces the age and retains its original finish. Newly upholstered in Knoll mohair these chairs are ready to go. Would pair well with designs by Edward Wormley, Finn Juhl, Vladimir Kagan and Hans Wegner.
