A magnificent, tree-trunk-shaped jug, crafted from majolica ceramic, modeled on a wheel and decorated with a scratched gouge by the artist. It was then majolica-coated with heavy glazes and glazed with a third fire. It is signed under the base by the Calabrian manufacturer S.C.I.C. of Vibo Valentia, dating back to the 1950s. The jug is of exceptional quality, both in terms of material and sculptural execution, and is certainly highly original in form.
