This striking pair of postmodern high-back dining chairs is attributed to Belgian designers Bob & Dries Van Den Berghe and echoes the form and proportion of their iconic Iris model, produced in the 1980s. The sculptural bentwood arms and towering back silhouette give them a commanding presence in any dining or statement seating arrangement.
The seat is upholstered in a green velvet, providing a striking mid-century palette of black, blonde wood, and jewel-tone upholstery.
While the exact provenance is unconfirmed, the construction, silhouette, and proportions match the Iris design closely, with minor structural variations (such as a central underside brace) suggesting either a factory variation or custom-commissioned build from the same design language.
