This oil painting from 1978 presents a charming view of the small Bavarian town of Neumarkt-Sankt Veit. The prominent church with its onion dome tower dominates the center, surrounded by other historic buildings. The foreground meadow, painted in green and golden hues, evokes a calm rural feeling. A few scattered trees and a pair of sunflowers on the left add texture and detail. Tiny figures with a agricultural tension subtly animate the peaceful scene. The sky, with its dramatic cloud formations, is rendered in expressive brushstrokes, adding depth and energy. Oil on Canvas. Signed lower right 'A M 78'.
