A lovely, moody Mid Century still life with burnt umbers, browns, smoky taupes, pale pinks, and dusty yellows. Signed on the bottom left "R Fox '62" (or '61), and on the back of the canvas stretcher, signed again "Richard Fox." Subject looks to be a still life drape with a conch shell.
Framed in a simple gold frame with a linen and gold fillet.
