Admirers of the craft will appreciate this antique Kerman Lavar rug hails from a very special workshop from one of the most acclaimed cities of antique rug creation in several centuries, not to mention one of the few remaining works attributed to Salami known today. This piece revels in a distinct pair of sharply stylized boteh (paisley) and lotus palmette patterns in the field and border respectively. Widely believed to represent creation and rebirth respectively, the subtext of this historic piece is complemented by very grand gold, crimson red, cobalt blue, black, green, cream, and orange colourways, lending to both moods of grandeur and versatility in any space.
