This 3x10 Swedish style kilim is from the Scandinavian rug collection by Rug & Kilim. Handwoven in wool, cotton and natural yarns, this flatweave represents a contemporary take on Swedish Deco Rollakans and Rya rugs.

On the Design:

This rug enjoys geometric patterns in beige-brown and gray with other complementary neutral tones. Keen eyes will admire the blend of yarns that achieve an almost abrashed, vintage look of striae and subtle color variation. This proprietary technique of ours both lends a more modern sense of movement to more traditional repetition, and honors a similar technique used by Scandinavian weavers in an inventive new way.

This modern flat weave further enjoys our reputed, heavier body with buckle resistance and greater durability against foot traffic. This new form, combined with its many stylistic choices, is both a more comfortable contemporary choice for luxury homes today and a meaningful contribution to the mid-century modern aesthetic that honors its foundations.
