about the artist – ary bitter (1883–1973)
ary bitter was a celebrated french sculptor, known for his elegant representations of animals and human figures, particularly in the art deco period. A graduate of the école des beaux-arts in marseille and later the école des beaux-arts in paris, he exhibited regularly at the salon des artistes français. His bronzes were often edited by prestigious foundries such as susse frères and are highly sought after by collectors today. This piece has an attribution mark,
