Marius Bessone (1929–2001) was a French ceramist from Vallauris, trained in industrial techniques for architecture and ceramic decoration. In 1954, he and his wife Huguette founded a workshop where they created utilitarian pieces with geometric shapes and vibrant colors. Bessone is recognized for his innovative experiments, notably volcanic-effect glazes and crystallizations, for which he filed patents. Between 1964 and 1969, he won several awards for his creations and participated in numerous exhibitions in France and Europe. Their production, signed "Bessone Vallauris," is today prized by collectors for its unique style and artisanal quality. This piece has an attribution mark,
