early twentieth century. It is a pleasant still life, which represents a group of earthenware vases with flowers

of white roses, pink azalea flowers and cornflowers, with lemons next to them. 20th century. Art Nouveau.

The painting on canvas is signed on the bottom right Wagemaekers painter from Belgium, Belgian painter of still lifes

and landscapes and watercolourist.

Victor Wagemaekers (1876-1953) Belgian painter, in 1899 he had his first exhibition with the group Le Sillon.

He studied with the famous artist Franz Courtens. He loves to paint Belgium, his native country, Brussels and Antwerp.

Known above all for his clear and realistic watercolours.

Today his works are preserved in numerous private and public collections, including the museums of Antwerp and Turnhout.

The oil painting is dressed with a golden frame contemporary with the work.

The painting and the frame are carefully and professionally restored.
