The "Cornaro" sofa, designed by Carlo Scarpa in 1979 for Simon-Gavina, is shown here in a three-seater version. It stands out for its architectural structure in solid iroko wood, which frames the upholstered volumes with rigor and expressive force.
The padding is original, in multi-density foam, while the blue upholstery was recently replaced, respecting the shape and formal language of the original design.
The "Cornaro" model is one of Carlo Scarpa's most iconic furniture design works, blending the refinement of artisanal details with an architectural conception of furniture.
