This Modernist Gerhard Herbst Studio Silver Bangle is hand constructed from three individually hand forged components. Measuring 5/8’’at its widest point, this piece and weights in at 22 grams and fits wrist sizes from 6 1/4’’ to 6 7/8’’.

Modernist designer, Gerhard Herbst translates sculptural form into the jewelry medium. Popularly known for his spatial shapes and fluid manipulations of metal, Herbst began producing his unique style of jewelry in 1975. Herbst then continued to study both sculpture and jewelry design at San Diego State University, and upon graduating he established his jewelry studio in Ocean Beach California. Adopting a wholesale manufacturing business model, Herbst would reproduce designs which he would then sell to leading Museum shops and galleries throughout the United States. Although no edition numbers were set, total production was limited as each piece was individually and personally handcrafted by Gerhard Herbst. See less
