She has hiked in … Read more The artist has always been an outdoors enthusiast, and especially loves mountains and hiking along streams. She has hiked in all the major European countries (including at the source of the Danube), as well as the American West. This painting is more representational than most of her work, done right after hiking in the Sierra. This acrylic painting is on gallery wrapped canvas. It is signed on the front, and has a UV protective varnish. It is in a black wood floater frame with a narrow gold front edge, which is wired and ready to hang.

Laurie MacMillan has enjoyed numerous awards and solo exhibitions, and has had pieces selected for over a hundred juried group shows. Her work is held in personal and business collections across the U.S., and in Canada and England. See less
