A rare and finely crafted miniature cast iron tea set from Japan, dating to around the 1950s.
Overall dimensions: height 12 cm, diameter 18 cm.
The small teapot rests on a tetsubin-dai (stand for a cast iron teapot) with ventilation openings, making the piece suitable not only as a decorative object, but also potentially as an incense burner.
The surface features the classic “nailhead” texture typical of Nambu tekki ironwork from northern Japan.
The underside is marked with the name Ōho Shōji Co., Ltd. (大穂商事株式会社), a company known for trading in traditional Japanese craft items.
This set was likely produced as a demonstration model, souvenir, or shop display. Its compact size and refined detail make it a unique decorative object for collectors of Japanese culture and tea ceremony.
In very good condition, with a lovely natural patina. For decorative use, possibly also suitable as an incense holder. This piece has an attribution mark,
