Sofa … Read more We have for your consideration a very high end and gorgeous sofa designed by mark goetz for herman miller. Sofa is signed on the bottom with tags and was produced in 2017. Sofa consists of dark charcoal gray Incased in a walnut veneer wood along with solid aluminum tapered legs. Leather is in great vintage condition with minor signs of wear mostly on the left and right edging which is a rub mark also a few light rub marks thru out. But overall beautiful condition and displays beautifully. Leather can be repaired by a leather expert but I will leave that up the buyers choice. Foam inside the sofa is very comfortable and plush. Walnut wood is in great vintage condition with some light wear here and there but very minimal and doesn’t detract from the beauty of this amazing sofa. Aluminum legs are in great condition as well no damages. Sofa is solid and sound and sturdy. This sofa will compliment your mid century modern design and will grace your mid century modern home.

The sofa's design incorporates molded plywood, a material famously associated with classic Herman Miller pieces, and Mark Goetz creatively integrates this material into the design. By using everyday materials in innovative ways, Goetz crafted a clean, modern aesthetic.

In terms of comfort, Goetz conducted extensive research and consulted with experts to determine the ideal seat depth for both ergonomic support and relaxation. He considered the sofa's design a "daunting challenge," as it was intended to be part of the Herman Miller Collection, known for its iconic twentieth-century designs. Reflecting on this, Goetz said, “If I were sitting in a room with Eames, Nelson, and Noguchi, and we were discussing design, I would be listening rather than talking. When designing this sofa, I took on that role, aiming to understand the qualities of the collection and create something that echoes and respectfully adds to it.

Condition: great vintage condition with some minimal wear thru out. Some rub marks on the leather but very minimal. ( please view photos) some very light marks to walnut wood. Not much.

Measurements: 85 inches wide by 31 1/2 inches deep by 32 inches tall.
