Many thin coats of a sealer topcoat tinted with red and gold have been used to create depth in this finish. Large box with hinged lid. Gold chain to hold the lid from falling back and decorative key tassel. Inside is lined with the original vintage velvet lining and has some scratches but they are not too bad for it's age. See photos. You could use this for many things, storing or hiding your treasures or keepsakes, jewelry , or even important papers. Faux tortoiseshell finish has been applied on all sides and even the back. Gold accents. See less
