Exquisite yellow gold pendant with a central oval enamel medallion depicting a beautiful hand-enamelled portrait of the Virgin Mary or Madonna, capturing the essence of classic and timeless beauty. The portrait is really sweet and of exceptional quality due to the delicacy of its details. The carefully designed 18-karat gold frame, with an ovoid profile and large rays that run across the wide frame, houses two sapphires and a brilliant-cut diamond at the bottom, enhancing this work of art and providing a touch of luxury and distinction. The reverse features a blue starry plique à jour.

The most notable technique of the piece is enamelling, an ancient technique whose origin dates back to 5000 BC. with this technique it is possible to add color to the piece while ensuring that it is resistant, hence its popularity from its origins to the Middle Ages.
