Vintage mid century globe by Replogle from the 1950's. This is a 10" reference globe, designed by renowned cartographer Gustov Brueckmann. This globe sits on a black metal stand with red rubber feet. The arm of the globe is brass. The top of the globe has a metal time dial that depicts a sun and moon and is divided into 24 parts with the hours of day and night, to help the viewer calculate the difference in time between the different time zones on the globe.
This is a beautiful piece that would be perfect for your vintage home decor. There are some light scratches, a few discolored spots on the map, and a bit of brass tarnish consistent with the age of piece (see photos). It spins smoothly and is great vintage condition otherwise.
