Cherubim figures have beautifully detailed wings, bodies and garments. Double side panels are unadorned. Corner blocks have grotesque masks at front and rinceau carving on side panels. The intricate, arabesque frieze is adorned with additional rinceau carving incorporating eagles displayed, paired rams heads in profile, and mermaid figures flanking a central cartouche. Cornice mantel shelf has ovum and dentil molding. Opening: 51w x 48h. See less
