A stunning example of early 20th-century French design, this five-light Art Deco chandelier is attributed to the renowned Parisian lighting firm Hettier & Vincent, featuring exquisite molded glass globes by Hanots.
Each of the five opalescent glass globes is beautifully crafted in the classic Hanots style, with softly ribbed vertical lines and stylized floral motifs that diffuse the light with an elegant glow. The globes are suspended from a polished nickel-plated frame, which fans out from a fluted canopy in symmetrical, architectural lines typical of the Art Deco movement.
This chandelier retains its original five-arm configuration, as seen in vintage Hettier & Vincent catalogues, and has been rewired for modern use. The central nickel-plated pipe, while not original to the fixture, is a careful restoration addition. The neckless shade fitters have also been updated to ensure the secure mounting of the delicate Hanots globes.
