Designed by Joseph Mathieu and made in Pierre Benite in Lyon . These chairs are an iconic part of Industrial French History. Each chair was hand pressed in huge industrial presses before being hand welded together. The chairs are in excellent condition, they are in the original faded white paint and showing wear commensurate with their age. These chairs make an exceptional design statement but are also a good practical scale as a dining chair for regular use. Multipl's was, in its day the competitor to Tolix, although sadly Multipl's did not survive. Examples of Multipl's chairs in this condition are becoming increasingly hard to find. Each chair passes through our own workshop where it is cleaned and gently rejuvenated. Seat Height 45cm. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
