An extra large sterling silver milk jug
Branded and halmarked by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. on the side near the handle and on the bottom.
Halmarked date 1899 and the London icons with a pattern number of 921
The Carved Wood Handle is connected to the pitcher just under the rim. A cherub or angle face is the focal point on the rim with a simple decrative pattern along the rest of the edge. The Spout is detailed feather or leaf design on both the top and bottom part. A wood finial with what looks like a replacement screw on the inside of the hinged lid.
Weight is 733.6 grams
Measures about 10.5" long (includes the handle and spout) x 6.25" deep x 5" tall (includes the handle)
The pitcher opening is about 3.25" inside diameter
It does have minor signs of wear due to normal use and age. No major dents one small dent that is shown in the photos
No Monogram but does have an engraved tree like image with a bird (hard to photograph) about 1" square in size on one side above the ribed base pattern.
