The round and oblong body tapers slightly at the top and bottom. The top and sides of the stool feature pierced medallions with four long diamond-shaped piercings surrounding a square or diamond. The side vignettes depict geishas in a garden gathered around a table. In one, one of the women plays a musical instrument with a lovely cherry tree in the background. Each scene is framed by a red scallop. Outside the scalloped frame, are highly decorated hand-painted Famille rose floral and foliage designs in green, yellow, pink, blue and white. This versatile piece would work beautifully indoors or outdoors as a stool, pedestal or side table.
Measurements: 12.75" W x 12.75 D x 18.5" H
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Colors are vibrant. Presents wonderfully. See less
