A … Read more A vintage oil on canvas after The Red Boy, Sir Thomas Lawrence's famous portrait of young Charles William Lambton. A bit more stylized and colorful than the original, this version maintains its moody Romanticism. A young boy clad in crimson velvet, sits in sombre reverie in a dreamy moonlit landscape. It is signed by S. Schou (possibly Danish artist Sigurd Schou 1875-1944??) and measures 23 x 30 inches framed (18 x 25 artwork). It comes in a handsome, crackled, antique-gold cove frame. The painting is in good vintage condition and the frame is sturdy with a few dings and scrapes. Ready to hang. See less
