Set consisting of a tapered candlestick and a square bowl in solid bronze, in an expressive and textured brutalist style. Each of the two elements bears a debossed inscription, in a scarified style:
– "the share of the angels" (on the candlestick)
– "well-defined place" (on the bowl)
the surface has been unevenly polished, which highlights certain browner areas. This intentional effect develops a contrasting patina, evoking the wear of time while retaining a certain shine. This set is unsigned, but strongly reminiscent of a french artisanal production of the 1980s, in the style of "waiting for the barbarians." ________________________________________
