Born May 10, 1835 in Bordeaux, died in 1900 in Lyon
Painter of genre, portraits, landscapes; Impressionist. He studied at the Lyon School of Fine Arts under Claude Bonnefond, then at the Paris School of Fine Arts under Hippolyte Flandrin. He exhibited at the Lyon Salon from 1861 to 1889, at the Paris Salon from 1864, and then at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he became a member.
