Pair antique 19th century Philadelphia Federal flint glass crystal urn shape vases - American Classical Period Circa 1820.
Free blown celery vases, colorless deep bowl with swirled gadrooning at the base and flared rim, raised on a double-knop stem and a circular foot with rough pontil mark.
One vase measures 8 7/8" tall x 5 3/8" diameter; the other 8 3/4" tall x 5 1/4" diameter. It is rare to find a pair of early vases from this period. Good condition - one vase with a small flake on the inside rim shown in photo - does not detract.
