French, 19th century rosewood and red marble bedside table in a breathtaking variety of Louis XVI-inspired carving techniques that highlights the dramatic coloration and painterly striations of this covetable material. The luxurious red marble surface sits above an upper case housing one small drawer, accented on the drawer front with fluted carvings and faceted panels to the sides. Four carved and turned legs rise from the lower cabinet with a flap door on the main compartment over a short door carved with rosettes, just above the feet. A small but robust accent table to use in a bedroom, bath, or other living area that needs an exotic flair. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior.
