A Maddux black swan planter that appears to have never been use as a planter.
The planter is shaped like a swan swimming with wings up. The body is a deep black. The beak is painted pink with a black tip. The eye is yellow and black. The base is flat and unglazed. The interior is white with a light dusting of gray on the inside of the wings.
“MADE IN USA XX510 “ is stamped into the edge of the base.
MEASUREMENTS
7 ½ in (19.0 cm) long x 4 ½ (11.4 cm) in wide x 11 in (27.9 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 1.3 oz.
CONDITION
The swan has no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. I don’t even see many scratches or wear! There is a bit of crazing on the swan’s bill and one tiny glaze miss from manufacture on one wing.
