A favorite of our principal Josh Nazmiyal, the weave and design indicates Armenian characteristics lending to its collectibility in equal measure to its unique use of color. This traditional style features a black background on which sit roses in pink, yellow, blue, red, and green with leaves of a bright red. Three borders appear on this antique Russian rug, with the first featuring a red background and flowers in yellow, white, green, blue, pink and black. This border is framed by red-and-white candy-stripe lines and is repeated on the outside border on the outer edge. A middle border features a blue background with flowers featuring color combinations of blue, pink, white and red. Measuring 4’x7’4, this piece would create a soothing environment, affording a sense of calm integral to a bedroom setting, though the near dimensions of a runner afford it versatility in hallways and other projects.
