A beautiful example of early American craftsmanship, this antique four-poster bed dates from the Federal period (circa 1800–1900) and reflects the elegant influence of Sheraton design. Crafted from rich Southern cherry wood, the bed features the classic “cannonball” turned posts that crown each corner with sculptural charm and symmetry.
Some original brass inlay details are missing, as seen in the photos, which adds to the authentic, timeworn appeal of this historical piece. One of the posts has discoloration due to the sun exposure
