I believe this is the original frame, however, the backing has been replaced by someone before I purchased it. The colors are wonderful and bright. This lovely girl is holding a book (Bible?) and looking fondly at the urn draped with a black cloth. The detail in the needlework is perfect. The outer border appears to be paper or vellum with hand drawn sprigs of greenery. There are three slight creases in the paper on the outer border. The picture measures 16" across; 16" down; and an 1 1/4" width. These are the framed measurements. There appears to be an original round metal hook at the top of the back of the picture for originally hanging. It now has modern hooks and wire. No writing denoting the maker unless it is on the back under the new backing and I have not removed that. The frame has some losses on the outside border mostly and one section on the border near the beading. Not sure if this is the original glass. See less
