This painting of a seated lady is by self-taught California artist JoAnne Fleming (American, b. 1930). This painting, 17” high is painted with acrylic paint. Signed in the lower right and framed in a new black wood molding, ready for hanging. Fleming, notorious for painting only women, painted this lady in 2002. Fleming has had a one-woman art exhibition at the gallery in
Cathedral City, CA known as Colin Fisher Studios, and her artwork is widely collected. This work of art would be a nice addition to any collector. Please see a photo of Colin Fisher with the artist and a photo of the artist in her studio among several of her paintings, all sold.
