Each piece is built from solid wood and meticulously hand-wrapped in metal using a centuries-old European technique. Thousands of hand-hammered nails secure the zinc-clad sheets in place. Over a 7–10 day finishing process, the metal is buffed, oxidized, and sealed by hand to create its distinct patina — rich with depth, tonal variation, and artisan character.
The zinc finish is intentionally reactive, designed to evolve with time and use. Soft mottling, warm burnishing, and subtle surface shifts are all expected and celebrated. No two pieces are exactly alike — a hallmark of this collection’s artistry.
