In the form of a scallop shell by Hilliard and Thomason of Birmingham, England.

It is modeled as full bodied scallop shell and has a cover that reveals a hinged steel grill or grater.

The interior rim bears hallmarks for Hilliard & Thomason.

A very fine addition to any sophisticated nutmeg grater collection!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.

Condition Details:
There is some light rusting to the grater. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
