The masterful weave of Desert Wood and natural leather strips tells a thousand-year-old tradition passed down among the families of the Tuareg people.

Originally used as an indoor rug for camel skin tents, it served to insulate from heat and sand, but also had a strong symbolic value: it represented the status of the family and its connection with the territory. The geometric decorations are stylizations of natural and cosmic elements, full of meaning.

The warm and sandy tones, obtained from natural dyes, give this mat a timeless elegance, perfect for sophisticated environments in wabi-sabi, minimal or organic style. The item is in good vintage condition, with slight traces of time that confirm its authenticity.
