The jar features hand-painted cobalt and ochre detailing, including a stylized bust with wings and the inscription CANTHOS, a likely reference to an ocular remedy. Its craquelure glaze and decorative “1684” date lend historical depth and visual character.

The base exemplifies the 19th-century fascination with early modern pharmaceutical design.
